Amazon India and Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME) Partner to Empower Rural Women Entrepreneurs
Amazon India has recently joined hands with the Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME) to boost rural women entrepreneurship in India. This collaboration aims to empower approximately 25,000 women entrepreneurs and artisans by providing them with essential support and resources to succeed in the digital realm. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed under Amazon's Saheli programme will focus on promoting local products made by women entrepreneurs in India.
Through this initiative, Amazon India will offer workshops, training sessions, onboarding assistance, and ongoing support for these women entrepreneurs without any financial investment. They will receive training on digital marketing strategies, performance marketing, product listing optimization, advertising techniques, as well as data-driven insights to understand customer behavior and market trends. By doing so, Amazon India aims to equip these women with the necessary tools to thrive in the digital marketplace.
GAME, on the other hand, will assist in business capacity building, improving digital marketing skills, and facilitating the formation of collective brands among these entrepreneurs. Their Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) program will help connect these women with various platforms and economic partners, thereby expanding their opportunities for growth and success.
This partnership not only aims to enhance livelihood opportunities for women entrepreneurs but also creates a conducive environment for rural women to thrive as successful entrepreneurs in the digital landscape. By working together, Amazon India and GAME are breaking barriers and fostering a culture of entrepreneurship among rural women in India.
In conclusion, the collaboration between Amazon India and GAME is a significant step towards empowering rural women entrepreneurs in India. Through comprehensive support and guidance, these women will be equipped with the necessary skills and resources to excel in the digital marketplace. This partnership not only benefits the individual entrepreneurs but also contributes to the overall economic growth and development of the country.
